Summary

Director Scott Hicks has crafted a spectacularly beautiful and complex film about lost love and redemption. It’s atmospheric and slow-moving and some will dislike the emotional reserve of the lead characters, but it will richly reward those who are patient, thoughtful and willing to give it a chance.
