Summary

Gary Cooper and Burt Lancaster star as American mercenaries in 1866 Mexico in this formulaic star-system western. There’s some excitement in the lead pairing, but ultimately the film isn’t concerned with giving them anything more than horses to ride on and guns to shoot.
