Summary

This All About Eve-like tale of an ambitious young ingenue and her smitten mentor, is best-known as co-director Federico Fellini’s first filmmaking effort. It deserves to be remembered on its own merits as an affectionate, effective tale of show business vanity, even in the absence of Fellini’s later stylistic trademarks.
